Terms and Conditions

Alterini Bus Company Tourist Coach Minicoach Hire in Florence Italy

1) Coach Reservation
Bookings must be made by fax or e-mail. You should check the details of the hire carefully and notify us immediately of any errors or changes.

2) Payment Terms
The balance for all hires is due 07 days prior to departure date. Any hire booked within the 07 day period must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

3) Method of payment
We accept payment by banker’s draft or wire transfer, cash, or credit card (Visa/Mastercard).

4) Cancellation Fees
Should you need to cancel your booking you should inform us by telephone, and then follow up in writing. Our cancellation charges are:

5) Alteration Charges
We do not charge for minimal changes. If the change(s) alter the structure of the hire, then charges may be applicable. The decision whether an alteration is considered minimal or otherwise, shall be at the sole discretion of Alterini Bus.

6) Waiting Time Charges
Any waiting time which exceeds the hours of hire shall accrue waiting charges per hour or fraction of an hour.

7) Complaint Procedures
Should you have any reason to complain during the hire you should firstly notify our representative who will endeavour to rectify the problem. If the problem is not rectified to your satisfaction, details of complaints should be made in writing to us.

8) Our Responsibility
We shall supply all the inclusions of the hire as specified in the confirmation. We accept responsibility for acts and/or omissions of our employees. We make every effort to adhere to agreed timings, but cannot guarantee this. If, after a reasonable waiting time (allowing for any local delays), our vehicle fails to turn up for a particular section of your hire, a full refund will be given for that part of the journey as compensation.

9)We do not accept responsibility or liability for:
Bodily injury, death or sickness to the signatory of the contract or any other persons except where this is caused by a member of staff of Alterini Bus. In this case Alterini Bus has unlimited indemnity for third party personal injury or damage of possessions arising out of travel on a vehicle. (This is NOT a travel insurance)
Delays caused by unforeseen traffic conditions
Delays caused by inclement weather conditions
Theft to the property of any passenger except where such theft or damage is caused by a direct action of the employees of Alterini Bus

10) Motor Insurance and Public Liability Certificate
All our coaches are insured by UNIPOL-SAI as follows:

You are covered for personal injury or damage of possessions travelling within our vehicle. This is not a travel insurance. It is not compulsory to take out further travel insurance although we highly recommend that you do, especially when travelling outside Italy.

11) Maintenance & Breakdowns
Our vehicles are serviced regularly in authorized workshops once a month and undergo an annual Ministry of Transport inspection every 12 months. In the rare event that there is a breakdown, Alterini Bus will determine whether the problem can be resolved in a timely manner by a local mechanic or whether a replacement vehicle will be supplied, according to the logistics of the problem.

These Terms and Conditions become effective once a hire or service is confirmed.

Conditions of Carriage

1) Animals
No pets shall be carried without the written permission of the company. Guide dogs are allowed but the company must be informed prior to the date of hire.

2) Smoking
Smoking is not permitted under any circumstances in our coaches

3) Wearing of Seatbelts
Our Coaches have seatbelts in each place and it is compulsory for all passengers to wear seatbelts in coaches.

4) Drivers Hours
The hours of operations for the driver are regulated by law. Neither the hirer or passenger shall delay or interrupt the journey in such as way that the driver is breaching regulations.
